The preliminary task the group was given, was to show continuity through a 30 second short film. The brief included a character opening a door, walking through it and having a conversation once sat down with another person. The first shot is a pan shot where the camera follows the character as he comes from round the corner. Next came a match on action where the character opened the door and it was slowly coming back. During the conversation there was a shot reverse shot which overlooked most lines in the task. With over the shoulder shots both characters can be seen using the 180 degrees line the characters look to be in the correct position.
To edit the shots and ordering them we used premier pro software used for editing film footage which we also used to edit the 2 minute project. We added effects, sounds and transition to create a better film visually and with sound.
During the filming of the project however we broke the rule of the 180 degrees as the film was not as smooth and looked poor so the flip made the main character look powerful and aggressive. Having experience with premier pro did help when editing the project due to adding titles and also for continuity making the film a lot smoother.
