Again, due to the dark nature of the film, the certification  would be an 18

Story
1999
Jake Lestrade has just received a promotion after cracking a year long narcotics case which featured multiple murders. He is then assigned the murder case of an exchange student where a satanic marking was found at the scene, linking to other several other murders and possibly linking to some missing persons cases. Forensics bring nothing back from the scene which leaves Jake stumped as he continues to question people.

2002
Media pressure to find the killer intensifies as another body is found as well as more reports of missing persons cases continue to surface, and every suspect Jake has pursued has resulted in a dead-end. He visits the ex-boyfriend of the latest known victim, Sara,  to inform him of what has happened and possibly discover any info on the victim. He reveals that he had an altercation with a man in a pub who was antagonising him about Sara, saying she was now in love with him. The ex-boyfriend says the man come across as mentally deranged, and that he spoke about his love for death, before leaving in red van with distinctive markings written over it. Jake puts out an A.P.B. on the van, and it is spotted 2 weeks later driving it some woods. Jake follows the road where the van went, where he comes across a man carrying a knife with blood stains on his shirt. He arrests the man, who taunts him about the murders. Jake stumbles across the body of another girl and, enraged, shoots the murderer in the back of the head just as back up arrives. Jake escapes a murder sentence but is instead fired by his superiors.

2015
Jake, now an alcoholic waster, is being interviewed by two relatively inexperienced detectives, regarding the events he witnessed. He details the what he came across, with the detectives then presenting him with a case file, a murder the exact copy the ones he investigated, suggesting the man he got did not work alone. The detectives ask more questions, and Jake gives them every detail in his recollection, and he agrees to help them in their investigation. He takes them to his storage unit, where he had amassed a wide collection of evidence of the years of all the murders and missing persons cases he feels are linked. He explains to the detectives that the murders are all linked to one man, the Mayor of the town. He tells them when he confronted the Mayor about this last year, he threatened him with arrest for harassment, but as he left he uttered the same ritual words the murderer in 02 had said. Research on the Mayor leads them to finding out he has a son who doesn't actually exist on legal documents. Jake believes this son has been carrying out the murders of people all linked to the Mayor. They get address for the man, who's unassuming wife answers the door. When one of the detectives becomes more forceful, insisting they ask her some questions she shoots him in the face. The other detective busts through the door and arrests her, whilst Jake runs after the man who appeared after the gunshot was heard. Jake follows him into a dark warehouse, where is taunted about the murders. The murderer stabs Jake, and he falls to the floor. Just as the murderer finishes his taunting and prepares to kill Jake, the remaining detective arrives and shoots him, The signs of sirens are heard as Jake slips unconscious.
