Previously we stated that our film would be an 18 certificate. However, after finalising the film we realised that we did not breach all of the 'age 15 certificate' properties. Taking this in to consideration we changed the certificate to 15; we did this because more people would be able to consume our film.
In a 15 age rated film we are allowed to use the following:
- strong violence
- frequent strong language (e.g. 'f***').
- portrayals of sexual activity
- strong verbal references to sex
- sexual nudity
- brief scenes of sexual violence or verbal references to sexual violence
- discriminatory language or behaviour
- drug taking.
We changed the age rating of the film as: Originally, we did have really strong language, and some reference to drugs. It would be pointless to have the certificate 15 as we didn't breach any of the above.
